The selling point for this vacuum is that it never loses suction, but that is an absolute lie. Shark will not buy the vacuum back. It has no peripheral suction, don’t waste your money. Oh, and the wheels squeak so loud it is annoying to use as well.

  2. I bought this machine and found it horrible.

It does fine on the hard wood floors and area rugs but for serious wall to wall carpet it is awful. The customer service number is either busy or made me wait for a long period of time. If you do get thru, you are directed to India to speak with people that have thick accents. Finally I did get someone that could understand and he told me that vacuum is not meant for deep cleaning. I will be returning this unit. You can get something much better for the $200. I am starting to think all these reviews are made up as someone else already posted.

I thought I’d keep an open mind when my husband came home with the Shark Navigator. (After all I was very happy with my Sharp, but it was 10 or more years old and was in need of some repair which would have been costly.) First, I wasn’t fond of it being bagless. And all the filters….and what excactly do the “21 cyclone chambers” do? And the warning about not picking up any hard objects, such as coins or marbles. I have two kids and have vacuumed under a bed only to suck up an object and wonder what the heck was that I just sucked up, but with the Shark if you do that it could damage the vacuum. I’m an allergy sufferer and this vacuum seems to spew dust out when vacuuming. And when emptying the ‘dust cup” stand back and hold your breath, even if you empty into a trash bag you still encounter the dust when removing the dust cup from the trash bag. I plan on returning the vacuum and going with one that has a simple bag to remove and if I run over a marble it won’t be a stressful experience wondering if I just broke the vacuum and voided the warranty.

  5. Best vacuum I have ever bought. Cleans great and is quiet. Hope to keep it for years. Light weight and easy to use. Wonderful.
